Zufallhütte Martelltal Skitour Aufstieg

Powder snow Winter wonderland.

Ski touring around the Cevedale and Veneziaspitzen peaks

With its 13 three-thousand-metre peaks, Val Martello in the Ortler region of Stelvio National Park is a true paradise for ski mountaineers. In these quiet high-alpine surroundings, ski tourers and snowshoe hikers will find countless opportunities for rewarding challenges in the white mountain world.

From the Zufallhütte, many worthwhile ski touring destinations can be reached, including Monte Cevedale and the Zufall peaks, as well as Cima Marmotta, Suldenspitze and Eisseespitze. The Butzenspitze and Hintere Schöntaufspitze are also among the most popular objectives.

One of the most beautiful tours leads from the Zufallhütte to the 3,330-metre-high Cima Marmotta, offering magnificent panoramic views of Königsspitze and Ortler. This summit also lends its name to the famous Marmotta Trophy.

In addition to the breathtaking views, the descent itself is a highlight: under good snow conditions, it can become a true “dream in white”. Perhaps the most beautiful way to experience winter in the mountains.
